Arcade and Gastropub, For The Win, Joins Lucky Strike at Denver Pavilions

If you are looking for a fun, edgy new place to take your family, or meet up with your friends, you might want to check out arcade-gastropub, For The Win (FTW), the much anticipated expansion announced last May to Lucky Strike at the Denver Pavilions.

Lucky Strike leased 13,000 additional square feet for 10 years on the top floor, bringing their space from approximately 20,000 to 36,000 square feet, making FTW the newest addition to the Pavilions open-air one-of-a-kind retail, dining and entertainment development that spans two-blocks and rises three-stories on the 16th Street Mall.

The renovation has a rocker vibe, and, with the new FTW addition, now features ping pong tables, pool tables, pop-a-shot, video games, and shuffleboard, in addition to its bowling alleys. Their website promises a tantalizing menu of chef driven cuisine, hand-crafted cocktails, and live local DJs.

It boasts more than 100 arcade games ranging from classics such as Skeet-ball and pinball to the modern and highly popular games Showdown and Outrun Super Deluxe. There’s also the World’s Largest Pacman, four-person air hockey and a photo booth that uploads pictures directly to your social media accounts.

The arcade’s high-tech swiping system lets you track balances and winnings, giving gamers the freedom to come and go at any time without having to cash out or take home tokens or tickets. An 850-square-foot retail store dubbed The PAYOFF has more than 250 prizes, including board games, XBOX, Surface Pro and the Apple Watch.

Denver is Lucky Strike Entertainment’s third FTW venue nationally, and they have over 18 venues worldwide, including restaurants, bars, dance clubs, billiards and game rooms.  Lucky Strike entertainment was founded in 2003 by Steven and Gillian Foster with Kevin Troy.  The first venue was opened in Hollywood.

The renovations are popular, drawing large crowds, and recent Yelp reviews highlight the fun atmosphere, note there are plenty of things to do while waiting for a bowling lane to open up or a table to become available, and say this is a good place for groups of friends to meet.  The venue is 21 and over after 10 p.m.

With the Lucky Strikes track record for fun venues, this looks like a great place to head to for fun, whether you’re looking for an indoor activity for the kids on a rainy afternoon, or a place to meet friends for drinks and tasty treats.
